Editorial Standards & Research Methodology

SignalCrest Capital / Content integrity

Editorial standards. Evidence before conviction.

Our educational material is intended to help readers understand financial markets, evaluate information, and identify uncertainty. This page explains the standards we use to guide content development and updates.

Our approach

What readers should expect.

Financial topics can affect real decisions and real money. We aim to make explanations precise, limitations visible, and sources traceable—without suggesting that any strategy or asset is guaranteed to succeed.

01 / Sources

Start with primary records

Prioritize regulatory publications, official exchange and broker rules, issuer filings, fund prospectuses, and published financial data for verifiable factual claims.

02 / Reasoning

Separate fact from interpretation

Explain assumptions, dates, sources, possible alternatives, and the difference between historical observations and forward-looking claims.

03 / Risk

State important limits

Describe relevant costs, volatility, liquidity, leverage, and the possibility of losing principal. Hypothetical calculations are not return forecasts.

Research hierarchy

Use the strongest available evidence.

When explaining a financial instrument, readers should be able to trace what it is, how it works, what it costs, and where the major risks appear in official documentation.

Where useful, we supplement primary material with reputable educational resources, but commentary and projections are not substitutes for original disclosures. A source may be accurate for its publication date and become outdated after rules, fees, or market conditions change.

How to read our materials

Distinguish learning examples from investment recommendations.

Illustrations

Hypothetical means hypothetical

Sample positions, portfolios, trade scenarios, and drawdown arithmetic are teaching tools. They do not represent a client account, a live investment, or an expected return unless explicitly identified and substantiated.

Information changes

Check original sources and dates

Investing terms, instrument features, fees, regulations, and market data can change. Readers should consult the current disclosure documents and qualified professionals where appropriate.

Corrections

Improve the record

Substantive factual errors should be corrected when identified. We aim to clarify changes that materially affect a reader’s understanding rather than quietly preserving an inaccurate explanation. Potential issues can be flagged through our official social profiles in the site footer.

Transparency

Disclose relevant relationships

Educational content should identify relevant sponsorships, affiliate links, and potential conflicts if and when they apply. We do not present an educational example as proof of investment performance.
